HOLIDAY HOEDOWN

So Christmas just passed us and now the new year is right on our tails. Since my family is spread out, I had several outfits to come up with for my holiday festivities.

For the first ensemble:
I am wearing a Urban Outfitters crop top, j. crew high waisted wool shorts that have a silk ribbon around the waist, tights, and Nine West "Aroundtown" mary jane platforms that have about a 5 inch heel with a 3/4 inch platform.
For my jewelry, I choose to do my favorite accessory: bracelets.

I am wearing my own religious bracelet, a Tiffany's silver bead bracelet, and an Ann Taylor's "Starry Night Bracelet" which has rectangular-cut blue sandstones with gold fleck sparkles inside the stones. I am also wearing an Urban Outfitter's silver eyeball ring.

For my second outfit, I wanted to be a bit more warm.
I am wearing a the "Silver Lining Blouse" from Nasty Gal. This blouse is about 27 inches in length with a chest pocket and pleated shoulder detailing. It also includes shell buttons closure on the front and a tab at the sleeves for easy rolling.

I am also wearing BCBG patchwork pleather leggings which are very similar to the "Caragh Pleather Legging Combo."
I am wearing the same Nine West shoes and jewelry as before.

What did you wear for your Holiday outings?

BLUE SUEDE SHOES

Seeing that my new year's plans are still up in the air, I have been searching for some simple accessories that will make a statement yet can be worn again.
I stopped into Ann Taylor today which now carries really cute stuff that they redid the layout of the store and updated the variety of the clothes. I saw these blue furry shoes that were a little terrifying on the shelf but I actually really liked them on my feet. They are a royal blue calf hair with a wedge a little taller then 4 inches. They also include a handy ankle strap which I love because my feet always seem to shrink in winter. I would most likely wear them with a black pencil skirt or skinnys. Possibly a Christmas present to myself? We shall see...

Also I have been OBSESSED with a little company out of Australia called Sabo Skirt. One of their amazing pieces are these studded bras. Perfect for a new year's ensemble. Picture this: a high-waisted, below the knee black pencil skirt with the studded bra, blazer, and furry royal blue wedges? Or maybe high waisted black trousers with a wide leg, the studded bra and a blazer buttoned just slightly to expose the bra. Sexy and stylish! Perfect. FIRST TRY

These amazing Sam Edelman glitter loafers are the perfect touch to a more demure New Year's Eve outfit, yet still keeping in the spirit.

I have a new obsession with burgundy lips for winter. This MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in "Good to be Bad," is perfect. Enjoy!
